TEACHER CAN LAST A LIFE TIME
Bruce is the kind of teacher that doesn’t leave you when school is over. His subject is math. But the students in front of him are his subjects that are more important than the grade they may receive. That’s why he ensures those who are open to growing through peer-to-peer interaction have the opportunity.
He wants everyone to know the basics – math and reading to name just two. But he does it in such a way that many will seek him out to sort out what would be the best path – college or a career. To Bruce they are both of equal value. It all depends on each person’s talents and gifts.
Encouraging fellow teachers is a gift Bruce wants to bring to the conversations they have about the future of the school. When tests can be discouraging, his smile that says “this too shall pass”, is a welcome addition and a source of hope.
This is why a teacher can last a life time … in the heart of the students he accepted.
