NEW ENERGY AND NEW LIFE: OUR TEAM IS STRONGER

The Tigers had a great season! They came close to winning it all! It’s great to have the MVP for the American League on our bench. Our work in the Public Schools and the communities surrounding them are grateful to our bench’s new “players”, those who build capacity for our work to impact the lives of more young people and their families.
We are grateful for the three new board members who joined our team this year. Terry Larkin brings the dedication of Lear Corporation. Elizabeth Washington is part of the PNC Bank’s commitment to early child readiness for education. Scott Wrobel wants to “get the word” out through his talents and network of the “best kept secret” in Detroit.
With these members joining our 10-member board that began 2012, we launched our “Corporate Partnership Campaign” in September. Our goal is to continue to build our board toward our goal of 16 members by November 2013. We want to celebrate our 40 th Anniversary year of ensuring that those most challenged due to financial and community limitations will be ready to step up to their being part of the Revitalization of Detroit.
